Moot Point - Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick

Moot Point offers a perfect blend of 19th Century charm combined with 21st Century comfort. This comfortable and cozy cottage situated on 4.5 private acres.  Site offers marvelous views, quite solitude, easy access to hiking trails, and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Built in the 1860s, Moot Point is ideally situated in North Head on a 50-foot rocky bluff overlooking Pettes Cove. The home is opposite the famous Swallowtail Lighthouse. The Net Point Island Trail runs along the cliff's edge offering spectacular views and wildlife sightings. Enjoy time indoors or out taking in the Swallowtail Lighthouse view, watching the seals in the cove or the visiting birds and wildlife.

Moot Point has a fully furnished a living room, dining room, family room, library, kitchen half bath on the first floor and a master bedroom with a master bath, three bedrooms and full bath on the second floor.  The furnishings and decor are a lovely mix of contemporary, vintage and antique. Many of the artwork and photographic art pieces are either local talent or inspired by local locale.

Moot Point sleeps seven: two bedrooms with queen-size beds, one bedroom with a full-size bed and one bedroom with a twin bed.  Each room is comfortably furnished and decorated with a cozy hominess.

The family room is complete with a large flat-screen TV supported by satellite TV. The fully-equipped kitchen contains a refrigerator, stove, dish washer, microwave, coffee maker and blender. The library offers a quiet place to immerse yourself in a favorite book, or you can select a new reading adventure from those provided on the shelves.  A full complement of games is also available in the library.  Also on the first floor is a washer and dryer.
